Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic Health in Myofascial Release Therapy
The pelvic bones, pelvic floor muscles, pelvic organs and all of the associated fascia are a central hub in the whole body fascial and nervous system web. Through Myofascial Release therapy we can gently shift the patterns in the body as a whole that create dysfunction in the pelvic floor.
While some of this work is direct with the pelvis, lower abdominal fascia, internal and external pelvic floor muscles and fascia, addressing the global patterns in the body supports pelvic health and resolves dysfunction in a lasting way.
I treat the following pelvic health concerns through Myofasical Release therapy:
pelvic pain: hip, tailbone, pubic symphisis, sacral-iliac joint pain
incontinence
pain with penetration
constipation
scar tissue from tearing during childbirth, trauma or procedures
