A Gentle, Hands-On Approach

Myofascial Release therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach for chronic pain, tension, restricted movement, and body patterns that haven’t fully responded to other treatments.

Rather than forcing the body to change, this work meets you where you are and gives your body time to respond.

Who It’s For

Myofascial Release may be a good fit if pain or tension is getting in the way of how you want to move, exercise, work, or live your daily life.

I work with people experiencing concerns such as:

  • Hip and low back pain

  • SI joint pain

  • Neck and shoulder tension

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Fibromyalgia and chronic pain

  • Nerve pain

  • Sciatica

  • Scar tissue and adhesions

  • Chronic muscle tension and stiffness

  • Restricted movement or mobility

  • Pain that has continued despite PT, massage, chiropractic care, stretching, or other approaches

A Different Way to Work With Pain

John F. Barnes Myofascial Release® works with restrictions in the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and connects the muscles, bones, joints, organs, nerves, and blood vessels throughout your body.

Rather than forcing the body to change, Myofascial Release uses gentle, sustained pressure and gives your body time to respond.

Because fascia connects the whole body, treatment may not focus only on the place where you feel pain. We look at the larger patterns of tension and restriction that may be contributing to how you feel and move.
